Ben de Zille Butler completes Barwell's British GT line-up - 28th February 2007

Reigning Caterham Eurocup Champion, Ben de Zille Butler, has signed to drive a Barwell Motorsport Aston Martin DBRS9 in the 2007 Avon Tyres British GT Championship. Ben will team-up in the GT3 Aston Martin with his main rival from last year's Caterham series, Guy Harrington.

Ben and Guy spent 2006 racing against each other wheel-to-wheel, but will join forces this season to make a very formidable driver pairing in the British GT series. De Zille Butler had a brief run in the Barwell Aston Martin at Paul Ricard recently, and impressed the team with how quickly he got to grips with the car.

This completes Barwell's British GT three-car line-up, with Paul Drayson/Jonny Cocker and Tom Alexander/Michael Bentwood in the other DBRS9s. “It's great news that we've got Ben on board” comments Barwell's Chris Needell. “With him and Guy we've got two of the best young, up-and-coming GT drivers in the country at the moment.”

The first time all three Astons will appear together will be at the British GT media and test day on March 15th at Silverstone. This will also mark the debut of Paul Drayson's bio-ethanol fuelled car, which has been developed in conjunction with Aston Martin Racing.
